The inflammatory bowel disease known as Crohn’s disease, causes inflammation in your digestive tract that leads to many painful and stressful symptoms. The abnormal immune system causes inflammation in the digestive tract and is often confused with ulcerative colitis, that only affects the large intestine.

How To Treat Crohn’s Disease?
Consult a doctor if you have unexplained fever lasting more than two days and when your diarrhea is not responding to over the counter drugs. The doctor would ask you to undergo a blood test to check for anemia or infection. The doctor will also ask if you’ve noticed any blood in your stool. You will be examined through endoscopy, colonoscopy and MRI scan for confirming crohn’s disease.

Immunosuppressants, anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids, antibiotics, etc can be used to treat the symptoms.
